Rate of Pay: $26.10 - $39.36

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent at the minimum. Two years of successful Human Resources office experience, preferably in an educational setting or applicable college or business school training; experience with Washington State certificated employee endorsements/qualifications; office equipment; word processing; and Excel spreadsheet skills.

  • Conduct bargaining research and support for District and Association
  • Credit and clock hour posting
  • Endorsement tracking/certification expiration
  • State and Federal district requirements for staff
  • Funding ratios
  • New employee orientations
  • New employee salary placements
  • Evaluation tracking reports
  • Ed Leadership Grant
  • NPBTS I Grant
  • Min Basic Ed Compliance report
  • School Calendar preparation
  • Experience verifications
  • WA State Sexual Misconduct Releases
  • Supplemental spreadsheets
  • Leave of Absences, resignations, retirement tracking and communication
  • FMLA determination and notification
  • Monthly payroll changes
  • S-275 State Reporting and updates throughout the school year
  • Salary Schedule and surveys
  • Skyward management of employees and contracts
  • Staffing by code maintenance
  • Staffing notices
  • Staff calendars and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform job duties while maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to provide information, research and education regarding policies, procedures and collective bargaining.
  • Attend training and workshops to maintain knowledge to perform job functions.
  • Ability and willingness to upgrade skills to maintain the high level of efficiency and high quality work.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems specific to performing school human resources assignments.
  • Knowledge of district, state and federal policies, procedures, and laws regarding human resources assignments
  • Knowledge of Skyward preferred
  • Ability to analyze data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations
  • Ability to interpret specific rules and laws, and apply these with good judgment in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to handle confidential and labor relations matters, and information in a professional and sensitive manner
  • Ability to work in an atmosphere where interruptions occur frequently and priorities are often modified, using a high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service
  • Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines, attend to detail and follow through on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to compose, edit and format documents
  • Willingness to benefit from supervision and other growth opportunities
  • Able to work with minimal direction and supervision
  • Other duties as assigned
